Wellington & Flávia Estrela

Wellington Estrela graduated with training in theology from São Paulo Theological College (FATESP) in 2008 and from KURIOS College in 2012. He was ordained to the pastorate in 2019, where he served churches in northeastern Brazil. He currently serves as the head pastor of the Evangelical Christian Church in São José do Vale do Rio Preto – RJ, Brazil.

While serving as a pastor, Wellington completed a specialization course in expository preaching through Prega a Palavra (Preach the Word) in 2018, with the aim of better preparing himself to serve in this area. Today he serves as a teacher, training pastors in Brazil.

He then he completed his master’s degree in biblical counseling in 2020 at the Maranata Biblical Seminary and Institute (SIBIMA).  And, in 2021 he was admitted to the Doctor of Ministry (Dmin) program at Dallas Theological Seminary, where he is currently studying. He is also a member and teacher of the Brazilian Association of Biblical Counselors (ABCB).

Wellington is also an author, having published two books in the area of biblical counseling. The first book is entitled, Effective Instruction: Visual and Theological Resources for the Practice of Instruction in Biblical Counseling and the second is Peace in Me.

Wellington and his wife, Flávia, have been married for 18 years and have three daughters: Ana Isabelle, Ana Elisa and Ana Manuela. Flávia came to know Christ in 2003. She has also received training in biblical counseling through ABCB courses and is currently studying theology applied to biblical counseling for women, helping Wellington in his counseling and training ministry.
