Evandro & Uliane Buzzo
Evandro and Uliane have great heart for the people of Brazil, as well as all who need to hear the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. They are blessed to live and serve in Parque Eldorado, Bebedouro, Brazil, with their two children, Lucca (9) and Ana (6).
Saved at the age of 9 years, Evandro was baptized at 12 and has continued living out his faith since. Originally trained in law, he specialized and practiced for several years in the area of educational law, particularly focusing on educational management consultancy. During that time, he served in his local church with the youth, in Sunday School, and ministries related to evangelism and missions.
But, in 2009, the Lord fostered a strong desire in him to dedicate himself to full-time Christian ministry, so he enrolled in seminary at Word of Life. Since focusing his life on vocational ministry, he has served in a variety of teaching and pastoral roles and situations, including taking the lead on establishing biblical counseling ministry in his local church in 2014 and teaching in various local church and formal Christian education contexts.
During his time as a seminarian, the Lord also providential directed such that he served at Uliane’s church, where she was involved with children’s ministry. She has been saved at age 11, was baptized shortly thereafter, and pressed into maturing in the Lord and ministry service. After the two were engaged, Uliane joined Evandro in evangelistic outreach to Bolivians in their city. Since their marriage, she studied in the seminary wives classes at Word of Life, preparing for life as a pastor’s wife. She now teaches youth in their church and helps Evandro with counseling women and couples. She also is pursuing a degree in mathematics, homeschools Lucca and Ana, and tutors for Classical Conversations.
One of Evandro’s dearest priorities for his church and other local churches is that they understand, love, and live out the sufficiency of Scripture for all of life and godliness. To that end, he rejoices to be able to engage with fellow pastors in his area regarding biblical counseling and Scripture’s sufficiency and will be a wonderful partner with our ministry for the strengthening of local churches, including pastors, elders, ministry leaders, and members, through biblical counseling.
